estuv- للتعبير عن أماكن أو حالات انتهت تماماً في الماضي، وتذكر: لا تضع أي علامة نبرة (accent) أبداً على هذه التصريفات.

estuve بدلاً من estaba يغير المعنى من «وصف لحالة مستمرة» إلى «حدث وقع وانقضى». هذا يشبه الفرق في العربية بين «كنتُ أدرس» (استمرار) و«درستُ» (حدث تام).- 1وضع نبرة (Accent) على الفعل: يميل المتعلم العربي لوضع نبرة لأن معظم أفعال الماضي في الإسبانية تأخذ نبرة (مثل
hablé). لكنestuveوestuvoلا تأخذ نبرات أبداً. السبب هو تداخل قواعد الأفعال المنتظمة مع الشاذة. - 2الخلط بين
