Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
In the preterite, 'saber' changes from 'knowing a fact' to 'finding out' or 'discovering' information.
- Use 'supe' to mean 'I found out' or 'I discovered' (e.g., Supe la verdad).
- The conjugation is irregular: supe, supiste, supo, supimos, supisteis, supieron.
- It does not mean 'I knew' in the preterite; use the imperfect 'sabía' for that.

saber، وهو يقابل فعل «عرف» أو «علم» في العربية.saber في زمن الماضي التام (pretérito) يتحول معناه جذرياً من «كنت أعرف» (حالة) إلى «اكتشفتُ» أو «علمتُ للتو» (حدث). هذا التمييز جوهري جداً، فاستخدامك لـ supe بدلاً من sabía يغير المعنى تماماً من استمرار المعرفة إلى لحظة حدوث الاكتشاف.saber ينتمي لمجموعة الأفعال التي تغير معناها حسب الزمن. عندما نستخدم saber في صيغة pretérito (الماضي التام)، نحن نركز على «نقطة زمنية محددة» حدث فيها الاكتشاف.supe تلقائياً.Sabía su secreto، فأنت تقول «كنت أعرف سره مسبقاً» (حالة استمرت في الماضي). أما إذا قلت Supe su secreto، فأنت تقول «اكتشفتُ سره» (حدث وقع في لحظة معينة).estado (حالة) و acción (حدث). هذا التغيير ليس عشوائياً، بل هو جزء من نظام لغوي يسمى «الجانب النحوي» (aspecto). الفعل supe هو تصريف غير منتظم، حيث يتغير الجذر من sab- إلى sup-، وهذا التغيير هو إشارة للمستمع أننا بصدد الحديث عن «حدث اكتشاف».saber في الماضي التام يعتبر من الأفعال الشاذة التي تتبع نمط «الجذر القوي». هذا يعني أننا نقوم بتغيير الجذر إلى sup- ثم نضيف نهايات خاصة لا تحمل أي نبرات صوتية (tildes). هذا النمط يسهل عليك حفظه إذا ربطته بأفعال أخرى مثل tener (يصبح tuve) أو poner (يصبح puse).yo | supe | عرفتُ / اكتشفتُ |tú | supiste | عرفتَ / اكتشفتَ |él/ella/usted | supo | عرفَ / اكتشفَ |nosotros/nosotras | supimos | عرفنا / اكتشفنا |vosotros/vosotras | supisteis | عرفتم / اكتشفتم |ellos/ellas/ustedes | supieron | عرفوا / اكتشفوا |-e, -iste, -o, -imos, -isteis, -ieron) ثابتة ولا تتغير، ولا تضع أبداً أي علامة نبرة فوق حرف الـ o أو الـ e في هذه التصريفات.supe في المواقف التي تتطلب الإشارة إلى «لحظة التنوير» أو الاكتشاف. إليك بعض الأمثلة من حياتنا اليومية:- 1تلقي أخبار جديدة: عندما تكتشف معلومة لم تكن تعرفها من قبل. مثال:
Supe los resultados del examen hoy(عرفتُ نتائج الامتحان اليوم). هنا الفعل يحدد لحظة وصول المعلومة إليك. - 2لحظات الإدراك المفاجئ: عندما تدرك حقيقة ما في لحظة محددة. مثال:
En ese momento, supe que era verdad(في تلك اللحظة، أدركتُ أنه كان صادقاً). - 3الأسئلة عن الاكتشاف: عندما تسأل شخصاً عن وقت معرفته بالأمر. مثال:
¿Cuándo supiste la noticia?(متى عرفتَ الخبر؟).
- 1إضافة النبرة (
tilde): يخطئ الكثيرون بكتابةsupéأوsupó. السبب هو أننا معتادون على الأفعال المنتظمة التي تأخذ نبرة في الماضي. لكن في الأفعال الشاذة مثلsaber، النبرة الصوتية تقع على الجذر، لذا لا نحتاج لنبرة كتابية. تذكر: لا توجد نبرات في تصريفاتsupe. - 2خلط
supeمعsabía: نحن في العربية نستخدم «عرفت» لكل شيء. إذا قلتAyer supe que Juan vive en Madrid، فقد تبدو غريباً لأنك تقول «اكتشفتُ أمس أن خوان يعيش في مدريد» (وكأنك لم تكن تعرف ذلك من قبل). إذا كنت تعرف ذلك مسبقاً، استخدمsabía. - 3استخدام
supeبمعنى «تمكنت من»: يقع البعض في خطأ قول*Supe abrir la puertaبمعنى «تمكنتُ من فتح الباب». هذا خطأ فادح!supeتعني «اكتشفتُ». للقدرة، نستخدم الفعلpude(منpoder).
