In Iranian business culture, emails are often followed by a phone call to confirm receipt. 'ایمیل نوشتن' is seen as the formal record, but the phone call builds the relationship. Students must use very formal titles when 'ایمیل نوشتن' to professors. Using 'سلام استاد' is the bare minimum; 'استاد گرامی' is preferred. Iranians rarely use 'Reply All' unless absolutely necessary, as it can be seen as intrusive. When 'ایمیل نوشتن' in a group, they are very selective. The Academy of Persian Language and Literature (Farhangestan) prefers 'رایانامه' (rāyānāme), but you will almost never hear this in daily 'ایمیل نوشتن'.
