Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'եթե' (if) with the present or future tense to talk about likely future events and their results.
- Use 'եթե' at the start of the condition clause.
- The condition uses Present or Future Indicative: 'Եթե գաս' (If you come).

Meanings
Real conditionals describe situations that are likely or possible in the present or future. They express a cause-and-effect relationship that the speaker believes is realistic.
Future Possibility
Predicting what will happen if a specific condition is met in the future.

Stop! Remove the 'will' (կ-). Just use the simple verb form.
Add the word 'ապա' (then) after the comma.
Use 'եթե' followed by an imperative verb in the second clause.

Conditionals are often used to offer food or help. It is polite to use the formal 'Դուք' even in conditional offers to strangers.
Armenians sometimes avoid 'if' statements about bad things to avoid 'calling' them into reality, or they follow them with 'Աստված չանի' (God forbid).
The word 'եթե' (yete) comes from Old Armenian (Grabar) 'եթէ', which has served the same conditional function for over 1,500 years.
