Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

In Khmer, 'you' changes based on the person's age and status relative to you.

  • Use 'neak' for neutral/polite 'you' (strangers or equals).
  • Use 'bong' for older siblings/people slightly older than you.
  • Use 'oun' for younger siblings/people younger than you.
