Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
In Burmese, you must use a classifier after the number to describe the shape or type of the object.
- Use 'ချောင်း' (chaung) for long, thin objects like pens or cigarettes: 'ဘောပင် တစ်ချောင်း' (one pen).
- Use 'စောင်' (saung) for blankets, books, or documents: 'စာအုပ် တစ်စောင်' (one book).
