Review Summary
- [Statement] + же / ведь / -то
أخطاء شائعة
The particle 'же' cannot be placed randomly at the end of a clause like a tag question. It must follow the word it emphasizes or the first logical word of the predicate.
Learners often attach '-то' to 'это' as a filler. In C2 Russian, '-то' should be used to single out a specific noun or verb for contrast (e.g., 'The book [as opposed to the movie] is interesting').
Using 'именно' (specifically) is often a 'translationism' from English 'It was he who...'. Natural Russian simply moves the subject to the end for focus.
