C1 Verb Moods 11 min read سخت

حالت التزامی انگلیسی: ارائه پیشنهادات (من پیشنهاد می‌کنم که...)

سه تا ابزار جادویی داری: suggest پیشنهاد میده، insist اصرار میکنه، recommend توصیه می‌کنه. بعد از این فعل‌ها، فعل اصلی جمله همیشه به صورت base form میاد. اینجوری حرفه‌ای، authoritative و پیشرفته به نظر می‌رسی، مخصوصاً توی محیط‌های formal.

Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Use the base form of a verb after words of suggestion, demand, or necessity to sound professional and precise.

  • Use the base verb (no -s, no -ed) after 'that' in suggestions: 'I suggest that he stay.'
  • For negatives, put 'not' directly before the verb: 'I recommend that she not leave.'
  • The verb 'be' stays as 'be' for all subjects: 'It is vital that they be informed.'
Subject + Suggest/Demand + that + Subject + [Base Verb] 💡

### Overview
### How This Grammar Works
I suggest that he go، فعل go بدون هیچ تغییری آمده است.
I insist that he attends (که یک واقعیت را بیان می‌کند: من اصرار دارم که او در جلسات شرکت می‌کند/حضور دارد) و I insist that he attend (که یک دستور یا تقاضا است: من اصرار دارم که او حتماً شرکت کند) وجود دارد. این همان تفاوتی است که در فارسی با لحن یا کمی تغییر در فعل نشان می‌دهیم، اما در انگلیسی با این ساختار گرامریِ دقیق، آن را به شکلی رسمی و استاندارد بیان می‌کنیم.
### Formation Pattern
الگوی ساختاری این گرامر به صورت زیر است:
[فاعل اصلی] + [فعل/صفتِ پیشنهاد یا الزام] + that + [فاعل دوم] + [شکل پایه فعل (بدون to)] + [متمم]
| بخش اول (فعل/صفت) | that | فاعل دوم | فعل (Base Form) | ادامه جمله |
| :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- |
| I suggest | that | he | submit | the report. |
| They recommend | that | she | review | the plan. |
| It is essential | that | we | be | prepared. |
| It is vital | that | everyone | arrive | on time. |
همان‌طور که می‌بینید، حتی برای he و she، فعل submit و review بدون s آمده‌اند. همچنین فعل be در جمله سوم، شکلِ پایه فعل to be است و به جای is یا are استفاده شده است.
### When To Use It
استفاده از این ساختار در موقعیت‌های زیر ضروری است:
  1. 1مکاتبات رسمی و اداری: در محیط‌های کاری مثل شرکت‌های بین‌المللی یا مکاتبات با اساتید دانشگاه، استفاده از این ساختار نشان‌دهنده تسلط شماست. به جای گفتنِ You should send the file، بگویید I suggest that you send the file.
  1. 1بیان ضرورت‌های آکادمیک: در مقالات علمی یا گزارش‌های پژوهشی، وقتی می‌خواهید بر اهمیت یک متد تأکید کنید: It is crucial that the researcher follow the ethical guidelines.
  1. 1دستورالعمل‌های قانونی: در قراردادها یا آیین‌نامه‌ها، برای بیان الزامات: The policy requires that every employee sign the document.
  1. 1موقعیت‌های جدی: وقتی می‌خواهید بدون استفاده از لحن دستوریِ تند، یک الزام را مطرح کنید. استفاده از Subjunctive به دلیل رسمی بودن، لحن شما را محترمانه اما قاطع نگه می‌دارد.
### Common Mistakes
  1. 1اضافه کردن s سوم‌شخص: بزرگترین اشتباه فارسی‌زبانان به دلیل عادت به مطابقت فعل با فاعل است.
  • غلط: I suggest that he goes.
  • درست: I suggest that he go.
علت: تداخل زبان مادری (L1 Interference)؛ در فارسی «او می‌رود» کاملاً صحیح است و مغز ما به طور خودکار می‌خواهد فعل را صرف کند.
  1. 1استفاده از should: بسیاری از زبان‌آموزان به جای وجه التزامی از should استفاده می‌کنند.
  • غلط: I suggest that he should go.
  • درست: I suggest that he go.
علت: در فارسی ما برای بیان پیشنهاد از «باید» استفاده می‌کنیم و زبان‌آموز فکر می‌کند should معادل دقیق آن است، اما در انگلیسیِ سطح C1، حذف should و استفاده از شکل پایه، نشان‌دهنده سطح بالاتر است.
  1. 1استفاده از to قبل از فعل: برخی فکر می‌کنند چون فعل در حالت مصدر (Infinitive) است، باید to داشته باشد.
  • غلط: I suggest that he to go.
  • درست: I suggest that he go.
علت: اشتباه گرفتنِ «شکل پایه» (Base Form) با «مصدر» (Infinitive). در این ساختار، to نباید وجود داشته باشد.
### Contrast With Similar Patterns
| ساختار | کاربرد | مثال |
| :--- | :--- | :--- |
| Mandative Subjunctive | بیان دستور/الزام رسمی | I suggest that he be here. |
| Indicative (Fact) | بیان واقعیت یا باور | I believe that he is here. |
| Modal (Advice) | بیان توصیه دوستانه | I suggest that he should be here. |
تفاوت اصلی در «نیتِ» گوینده است. اگر قصد دارید چیزی را به عنوان یک «باید» یا «پیشنهادِ اجرایی» مطرح کنید، از ستون اول استفاده کنید. اگر فقط در حال گزارش دادنِ یک واقعیت هستید، از ستون دوم استفاده کنید.
### Quick FAQ
  1. 1آیا می‌توانم در مکالمه روزمره از این ساختار استفاده کنم؟
بله، اما دقت کنید که این ساختار بسیار رسمی است. در یک دورهمی دوستانه در کافه، استفاده از آن ممکن است کمی عجیب به نظر برسد. در آن محیط‌ها، استفاده از should یا ساختار object + to-infinitive (مثل I want you to go) رایج‌تر است.
  1. 1آیا that همیشه لازم است؟
در انگلیسیِ بسیار غیررسمی ممکن است حذف شود، اما در نوشتار آکادمیک و رسمی، حتماً از آن استفاده کنید تا ساختار جمله کاملاً شفاف باشد.
  1. 1آیا این ساختار برای افعال منفی هم صدق می‌کند؟
بله، فقط کافی است not را قبل از فعل اصلی بیاورید: I suggest that he not go. این ساختار بسیار رسمی و سطح بالاست.

In global academic writing, the subjunctive is preferred as it sounds more objective and less like a personal opinion.

The subjunctive mood comes from Old English and Proto-Indo-European, where it had distinct endings for almost every person.

Yes, especially in American English and formal writing worldwide. While it sounds formal, it is not 'dead'.

Yes, 'I suggest that he should go' is perfectly correct, especially in British English. However, the subjunctive is more common in formal US English.

Because the subjunctive uses the base form of the verb, and the negative of a base form is simply `not` + verb. There is no 'do-support' in the subjunctive.

The mandative subjunctive (suggestions) does not change for the past. 'I suggested that he go' is correct, even if the suggestion happened yesterday.

The most common are `essential`, `vital`, `important`, `crucial`, `imperative`, and `necessary`.

No. 'Hope' uses the indicative. 'I hope that he goes' (not 'go'). Only verbs of suggestion/demand use the subjunctive.

Yes, it is a very common error. 'Suggest' cannot be followed by an object + infinitive. You must use a 'that' clause or a gerund ('I suggest going').

Use 'be' for all subjects. 'It is vital that I be / you be / he be / they be'. Never use 'am', 'is', or 'are'.
