Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use the Third Conditional to talk about past regrets or hypothetical situations that didn't happen by using the pluperfect subjunctive and conditional perfect.
- Use 'se' + Pretérito Mais-que-perfeito Composto (tivesse + participle) for the condition.
- Use the Futuro do Pretérito Composto (teria + participle) for the result.
- This structure is exclusively for past events that cannot be changed.

teria (انجام میدادم) رسمی رو با tinha جایگزین میکنن. کمتر خشک به نظر میرسه و دائماً در زندگی روزمره استفاده میشه.

- حسرت: «اگه اون سوشی کنار خیابون رو نخورده بودم...»
- آرامش: «اگه اتوبوس رو از دست داده بودم، دیر میرسیدم.»
- بهانه: «اگه باتریم تموم نشده بود زنگ میزدم!»
- تحلیل: «اگه تیم بهتر بازی کرده بود، برده بودن.»
اشتباهات رایج
- استفاده از گذشته ساده: مبتدیها اغلب سعی میکنن بگن *Se eu sabia* (اگه میدونستم - گذشته استمراری) برای «اگه دونسته بودم». این غلطه. باید از ترکیب *tivesse sabido* استفاده کنید.
- عدم تطابق فعل کمکی: گفتن *Se eu tivesse ido, eu falaria*. معمولاً برای هماهنگی با خط زمانی به ترکیب *teria falado* نیاز دارید. *Falaria* (شرطی ساده) معمولاً به نتیجه در حال اشاره داره، نه گذشته.
- فراموش کردن اسم مفعول: فعل اصلی همیشه باید به شکل اسم مفعول (ختم به -ado/-ido) باشه. *Tivesse falar* غلطه؛ *tivesse falado* درسته.

Meanings
The Third Conditional expresses a hypothetical past situation and its imaginary result. It is used to express regrets or speculate about 'what could have been'.
Regret
Expressing sadness or frustration about a past choice.
