Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Frequency adverbs tell us how often something happens and usually sit right before the main verb in Croatian.
- Place the adverb before the verb: 'Ja uvijek učim' (I always study).
- Use 'nikad' with a negative verb: 'Ja nikad ne spavam' (I never sleep).
- Adverbs can move for emphasis, but keep them near the verb for standard speech.
