Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

In Kazakh, adjectives come before the noun they describe, and they don't change based on gender or number.

  • Place the adjective before the noun: 'ұзын адам' (tall person).
  • Adjectives do not change for gender or plural: 'жақсы қыз' (good girl), 'жақсы қыздар' (good girls).
  • To say 'is', use the personal suffix at the end of the adjective: 'Ол сұлу' (She is beautiful).

Adjectives in Kazakh are used to modify nouns to provide more detail about appearance, personality, or state. They remain invariant regardless of the noun's number or case.
