Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

To make a verb negative in Burmese, wrap it in 'မ' before and 'ဘူး' after.

  • Place 'မ' directly before the verb: မစား (don't eat).
  • Place 'ဘူး' at the end of the verb phrase: မစားဘူး (don't eat).
