Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Coordinating conjunctions link equal words or sentences, acting as the 'glue' that builds complex thoughts from simple ideas.
- Use `և` (ev) or `ու` (u) to add things together: 'Shat ev kaghtsr' (Big and sweet).
- Use `բայց` (bayts) to show contrast, always placing a comma before it in sentences.

Meanings
Coordinating conjunctions are words that connect two or more grammatically equal parts, such as two nouns, two verbs, or two independent clauses.
Addition (And)
Used to join similar ideas or items in a list. `և` is the standard form, while `ու` is often used for better flow between nouns.

Contrast (But)

Comparison/Contrast (While/And)
The conjunction `իսկ` is used to contrast two different subjects performing different actions.

“Աննան բժիշկ է, իսկ Արամը՝ ուսուցիչ: (Anna is a doctor, and Aram is a teacher.)”
