Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To compare two things in Azerbaijani, add the ablative suffix (-dan/-dən) to the object you are comparing against.
- Use -dan/-dən after the noun you are comparing: 'Bakıdan böyük' (Bigger than Baku).
- Add 'daha' before the adjective for emphasis: 'O, məndən daha ağıllıdır' (He is smarter than me).
