Both, Either, Neither: Talking About Two Options

Both = the two (positive). Either = one of the two (choice or negative). Neither = not one and not the other (zero of two).

Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Use 'both' for two, 'either' for one of two, and 'neither' for zero of two.
