Forming the Instrumental: -ով
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
The -ով suffix turns a noun into a tool, a means of transport, or a way to say 'with'.
- Add -ով to nouns ending in a consonant: գրիչ (pen) -> գրիչով (with a pen).
- Add -յով to nouns ending in a vowel: տատ (grandmother) -> տատյով (with grandmother).
- Use it for transport: ավտոբուս (bus) -> ավտոբուսով (by bus).
