When you're at a B2 level, you probably know the word 'فحص' (to examine). It's a good general word. However, as you move towards C2, you need more nuanced verbs. This is where 'استعرض' comes in.

'استعرض' implies a more active, critical examination, often with the intent to review, evaluate, or even show off something. Think of it as 'to review critically' or 'to showcase.'

For example, you might 'استعرض الخطط' (review the plans) before a big meeting, or a designer might 'استعرض مجموعته الجديدة' (showcase their new collection). It adds a layer of scrutiny or presentation that 'فحص' doesn't quite capture.
