First Person Pronouns (Hu/Ame)

Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

In Gujarati, use 'Hu' for 'I' and 'Ame' for 'We' to start building your first sentences.

  • Use 'Hu' (હું) to refer to yourself: 'Hu vidyarthi chu' (I am a student).
  • Use 'Ame' (અમે) to refer to a group including yourself: 'Ame jaiye chie' (We are going).
