Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
The Pluperfect describes an action completed before another action in the past.
- Use the -ել or -աց participle for the main verb.
- Add the past tense of 'to be' (էի, էիր, էր, etc.) as the auxiliary.
- The negative form adds 'չ' to the auxiliary: չէի գրել (I had not written).

Meanings
The Pluperfect tense expresses an action that was finished before another point or action in the past. It provides background context for a narrative.
