Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Armenian months are nouns that function like English months; simply memorize the list to start talking about dates.
- Months are capitalized in English but often lowercase in Armenian unless starting a sentence: 'հունվար' (January).
- To say 'in [Month]', add the suffix '-ում' to the month name: 'հունվարում' (in January).
- Months do not change based on the verb; they remain in the nominative case unless used with specific prepositions.
