Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Stylistic inversion moves the focus element to the front of the sentence to highlight it, breaking standard Subject-Object-Verb order.

  • Fronting: Move the object or adverbial phrase to the start: 'პური ვჭამე' (Bread I ate).
  • Emphasis: The fronted element carries the primary stress of the sentence.
  • Flexibility: Georgian allows this because case markers keep the grammatical roles clear.
