Little Dicky and Benny Blanco. [music]

>> Um, now I want to begin with a complaint
if I could.

>> Not with you, Benny, but Dave. Yes, with
you.

>> That's right.
>> To refer to you as Dave Bird aka Little
Dicky. Not Dave, little Dicky Bird. Not
just Dave Bird, not just Little Dicky.
And I'm going to tell you something.

>> How would you prefer it be?
>> I thought about it.
>> Well, I'd like to just go with Dave if
we could, but I thought Dave Bird aka
Little Dicky is Debbal. I could call you
Debbal. [laughter]
>> Anything but that.
>> Good. I like that.
>> You like it?
>> Debbal.
>> Benny approves.
>> Debbal is the worst nickname [laughter]

>> You guys are best friends. Is that
correct to say?
>> Yes.
>> How did you meet?
>> Big fan. He uh he reached out to me the
first day I ever put anything out. He
reached out as a fan and uh he just
loved my work and yeah,
>> the story is the story. So, and then
>> honestly, when we first met, we had our
first meeting
>> somewhere in Santa Monica
>> and he sat down and he asked me, he
said, "Well, what do you even really
bring to the table?" And I said, "What
do you mean, what do I bring to the
table?"
>> Well, it felt like a business meeting if
I'm being it felt like he was trying to
capitalize on my talent when we first
met, which I understand. And to be quite
honest, I didn't know, you know, I
looked him up cuz I didn't know who he
was. He knew who I was. And then I
looked up and then he actually was far
more successful than me, but he was in
like a pop category and I, you know, I
felt like I was a rat. Said, "What can
this guy do for me?" And it turns out he
honestly does everything for me. What
did you say when he said what can you do
for me?
>> I think I said like get a grip or
something. [laughter] I said shut up.
>> Yeah.
>> So that's how you met and then you
became you ob you got past that very
quickly
>> and now you're the point where you guys
say I love you to each other. The whole
who said I love you first? Who was the
first to say? [laughter]
