If + Present Continuous
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'If + Present Continuous' to talk about results of actions happening right now or future plans.
- Use for current actions: 'If you're looking for your keys, they're here.'
- Use for future plans: 'If you're coming tonight, I'll buy extra pizza.'
- The result clause usually uses 'will' or a modal like 'can' or 'should'.
If + Present Simple, will + Base Verb. If it rains, I will stay home.If you're leaving now, I'll drive you.
If you're listening to me, you'll understand the plan(إذا كنتَ تستمع إليّ [الآن]، فستفهم الخطة).
I am meeting him tomorrow). If we're traveling next week, we must book the hotel today(إذا كنا سنسافر الأسبوع القادم، يجب أن نحجز الفندق اليوم).
If + الفاعل + am/is/are + Verb-ing | If you're cooking dinner... |will / won't + الفعل المجرد | ...I will help you. |will.
If she's working, she might not answer.(إذا كانت تعمل، فربما لن ترد).
If you're feeling sick, you should see a doctor.(إذا كنت تشعر بالمرض، ينبغي أن ترى طبيباً). (Imperative):
If you're going to the Souq, buy some coffee.(إذا كنت ذاهباً إلى السوق، اشترِ بعض القهوة).
Ifكما فيIf you're studying, I'll be quietنضع فاصلة. I'll be quiet if you're studyingفلا نضع فاصلة.
If you areنقولIf you'reوبدلاً منwill notنقولwon't.
If it's not raining, we'll go for a walk.
If you're writing the report now, I'll wait for you to finish so we can discuss it. هنا، الشرط هو استمراره في الكتابة *الآن*.If we're visiting our grandparents on Friday, we should buy a gift today. If you're staying at the hotel this week, I'll come and visit you there. If you're looking for your keys, I saw them on the table. If the car is making a strange noise, you must stop immediately. If you will be traveling...
If you're traveling...(صح ✅).
If you studying...
If you are studying...(صح ✅).
If you eat now, I'll wait.
If you're eating now, I'll wait. -
If. If it rains, we stay home. | If it's raining, we'll stay home. |If you work hard, you win. | If you're working hard on this, you'll win. |If she speaks, listen. | If she's speaking, don't interrupt. If you're going to buy a new car, you should save money. If you're studying at 8 PM, I'll be working too. If he's sleeping, he might not hear the doorbell. If you're attending the meeting, I'll prepare the files If you're doing بدلاً من If you do أنت لا تغير القواعد فحسب، بل تضيف «حياة» و«حركة» لكلامك. Formation of the 'If' Clause

If تحتوي على فعل ينتهي بـ -ing ومعه am/is/are، فغالبًا أنت في التركيب الصحيح هذا. مثلاً: "If you're studying right now, you'll pass the exam."ممنوع 'Will' في جملة 'If'!
First Conditional العادي، ما تستخدم will بعد If مباشرة، حتى مع المضارع المستمر. مثلاً: "If you're coming, I'll be there.« وليس »If you will be coming, I'll be there."

No, it's actually very common in casual speech because it reacts to what is happening *now*.
