الحالة الصفرية: حقائق وتعليمات
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
The Zero Conditional expresses facts, scientific laws, and habits that are always true when a specific condition is met.
- Use Present Simple in both clauses: 'If you heat ice, it melts.'
- Use 'when' instead of 'if' for things that happen regularly: 'When it rains, the grass gets wet.'
- Use a comma only if the 'if' clause comes first: 'If it rains, I stay home.'
نظرة عامة
Zero Conditional أو (الحالة الشرطية الصفرية). لماذا سميت بـ «الصفرية»؟Zero Conditional لنقل هذا النوع من المعلومات.Present Simple (المضارع البسيط) في شطري الجملة. دعنا نبحر سوياً لنفهم كيف نتقن هذا الأسلوب ونبهر من حولنا بلغة إنجليزية سليمة.Zero Conditional على مبدأ السبب والنتيجة (Cause and Effect). الفكرة هي أن هناك «شرطاً» معيناً، إذا تحقق، فإن «النتيجة» مضمونة بنسبة 100%.If أو When. الفرق الجوهري الذي يجب أن تنتبه له كمتعلم عربي هو أننا في الإنجليزية لا نتحدث عن المستقبل هنا، بل نتحدث عن «العموم».If a guest arrives, we serve coffee.will أو might لأن النتيجة ليست احتمالاً، بل هي واقع ثابت.Present Simple. If / When + Present Simple | , | Present Simple |If you heat ice | , | it melts. |- 1استخدام الفاصلة (The Comma): إذا بدأت الجملة بـ
IfأوWhenكما في المثال أعلاه، يجب أن نضع فاصلة بين الجملتين. أما إذا عكسنا الترتيب، فلا داعي للفاصلة:
Ice melts if you heat it.(لا توجد فاصلة هنا).
- 1تبادل
IfوWhen: في الحالة الصفرية، يمكنك غالباً استبدالIfبكلمةWhenدون تغيير في المعنى، لأن النتيجة مؤكدة.
When it rains, the ground gets wet.(عندما تمطر، تبتل الأرض - حقيقة دائمة).
- 1صيغة الأمر (Imperatives): أحياناً نستخدم الحالة الصفرية لإعطاء تعليمات. في هذه الحالة، تكون جملة النتيجة بصيغة الأمر:
If the phone rings, don't answer it.(إذا رن الهاتف، لا تجب).
- 1النفي: لا تنسَ قواعد نفي المضارع البسيط باستخدام
don'tأوdoesn'tحسب الفاعل:
If you don't water plants, they die.
Zero Conditional في أربعة سياقات رئيسية يواجهها المتحدث العربي يومياً:If you mix red and blue, you get purple.(إذا مزجت الأحمر والأزرق، تحصل على البنفسجي).When the sun goes down, it gets dark.(عندما تغيب الشمس، يصبح الجو مظلماً).
If I have a headache, I take an aspirin.(إذا شعرت بصداع، أتناول الأسبرين - هذه عادتي دائماً).When I go to the mall, I always buy Arabic coffee.(عندما أذهب للمول، دائماً أشتري القهوة العربية).
If you enter the mosque, take off your shoes.(إذا دخلت المسجد، اخلع حذاءك).When the light turns green, you can go.(عندما تصبح الإشارة خضراء، يمكنك الانطلاق).
If a person is a vegetarian, they don't eat meat.(إذا كان الشخص نباتياً، فهو لا يأكل اللحم).
will في جملة النتيجة:If you heat water, it will boil.- التصحيح:
If you heat water, it boils. - لماذا نخطئ؟ لأننا في العربية نفكر في المستقبل (سوف يغلي). لكن في الإنجليزية، بما أنها حقيقة علمية ثابتة، نستخدم المضارع البسيط للتعبير عن الديمومة.
If the water hot, it boils.- التصحيح:
If the water IS hot, it boils. - نصيحة: تذكر دائماً أن الجملة الإنجليزية «جائعة» للأفعال، لا تتركها بدون
am/is/are.
he/she/it أو الأسماء المفردة، يجب إضافة s للفعل.- الخطأ:
If he drink coffee, he stays awake. - التصحيح:
If he DRINKS coffee, he stays awake.
If و In case:In case بدلاً من If في الحالة الصفرية.- الخطأ:
In case it rains, the ground gets wet. - التصحيح:
If it rains, the ground gets wet. - توضيح:
In caseتعني «تحسباً لـ» وتستخدم للاستعداد لشيء قد يحدث، بينماIfهنا تعني الربط الشرطي الحتمي.
First Conditional) لأن الكثير من الطلاب يخلطون بينهما.If + Present Simple, Present Simple | If + Present Simple, Will + Verb |If it rains, the grass gets wet. (حقيقة دائمة) | If it rains tomorrow, I will stay home. (موقف محدد غداً) |unless في الحالة الصفرية؟unless تعني if not (إلا إذا).Unless you freeze water, it stays liquid. If you don't freeze water, it stays liquid.can أو must؟If you have a passport, you can travel. If you drive, you must wear a seatbelt. When بدلاً من If؟When عندما تكون متأكداً تماماً أن الحدث يقع بشكل متكرر ومنتظم.When the sun rises, the birds start singing. When هنا تعطي شعوراً بالثبات أكثر من If التي قد توحي أحياناً بأن الشرط قد لا يتحقق.If it rained, we played inside. (في طفولتنا، إذا أمطرت، كنا نلعب بالداخل). لكن كمتعلم في المستوى B1، ركز الآن على صيغة المضارع لأنها الأكثر استخداماً.Zero Conditional هي بوابتك للتحدث بلغة علمية ومنطقية رصينة. تدرب عليها من خلال ملاحظة الأشياء من حولك؛ في المطبخ، في الشارع، وفي عملك. قل لنفسك: If I do this, that happens.Zero Conditional Structure

Smart Tips
Check that both verbs are in the Present Simple. Do not use 'will'.
Try swapping them. If the meaning stays the same, you are looking at a Zero Conditional.
Use the imperative in the second clause for a clearer, more professional tone.
Look for the 'If'. If it's at the start, put a comma in the middle. If it's in the middle, remove all commas.
النطق
The 'If' Clause Lift
In the first part of the sentence (the condition), your voice usually goes up in pitch at the end of the clause to show the sentence isn't finished.
The Result Clause Fall
The second part of the sentence (the result) ends with a falling intonation to signal the end of the statement.

الأسئلة الشائعة (8)
No. If you use `will`, it becomes a First Conditional, which is for specific future events, not general truths.
They are mostly interchangeable. `When` suggests the condition happens more frequently or certainly than `if`.
Only if the `if` clause comes first. If the result clause is first, no comma is used.
Yes, but you must use the Past Simple in both clauses. 'If it rained, we played inside.' This is called the Past Real Conditional.
It is neutral. It is used in both very formal scientific papers and very informal daily speech.
Yes! This is very common for instructions. 'If you are tired, go to bed.'
Because there is 'zero' doubt about the result. It is a 100% certainty.
Yes. `Unless` means `if not`. 'Plants die unless they get water.'

French speakers might use 'quand' (when) more frequently than 'si'.
Wenn + Präsens + Präsens

Verb-ru + to (~と)
Japanese has several conditional forms (~ba, ~tara), but 'to' is the closest to the Zero Conditional.
Idha (إذا) + Present
Arabic can also use the past tense after 'Idha' to express a condition, which confuses learners.
Ruguo (如果) ... jiu (就) ...
The lack of tense markers in Chinese makes the 'Present Simple' concept abstract for learners.
