Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'paljon' or 'vähän' followed by the partitive case to describe amounts of uncountable or plural nouns.
- Use 'paljon' (a lot) + partitive noun: 'Paljon kahvia' (a lot of coffee).
- Use 'vähän' (a little) + partitive noun: 'Vähän sokeria' (a little sugar).
- The noun must be in the partitive case, which often ends in -a, -ä, or -ta.
