Conjunct consonants are two or more letters joined together to create a single, unique sound or visual character.
- Vertical stacking: Letters are placed one above another, like 'ক' + 'ষ' = 'ক্ষ'.
- Horizontal joining: Letters are squeezed together side-by-side, like 'স' + 'ত' = 'স্ত'.
- Modified forms: Some letters change shape entirely when they become part of a cluster, like 'র' (r) becoming a hook.
