me و myself است. در زبان فارسی، ما برای اشاره به خود، معمولاً از ضمیر «من» یا ترکیب «خودم» استفاده میکنیم و ساختار دستوری آن به گونهای است که گاهی این دو مفهوم در ذهن ما با هم همپوشانی پیدا میکنند. اما در انگلیسی، این دو کلمه دو نقش کاملاً مجزا و غیرقابل جایگزین دارند.myself صرفاً نسخه «مودبانهتر» یا «رسمیتر» me است. این یک باور غلط است که در زبانشناسی به آن «اصلاح بیش از حد» یا hypercorrection میگویند. در واقع، me یک ضمیر مفعولی است که در جایگاه مفعول جمله قرار میگیرد (گیرنده عمل)، در حالی که myself یک ضمیر انعکاسی است که برای بازگشت عمل به فاعل استفاده میشود.me استفاده کنید. استفاده از myself در این موقعیت، نه تنها مودبانهتر نیست، بلکه از نظر دستوری کاملاً نادرست است.- 1نقش

Meanings
The distinction between using the object pronoun 'me' and the reflexive pronoun 'myself' depends entirely on whether the subject of the sentence is the same person as the object.
