How long have you lived here?، داری در مورد خونه فعلیشون میپرسی. تو کنجکاو هستی که تاریخچهی حضورشون در اون فضا رو بدونی.
Present Simple استفاده میکنن. اون آدم نباش.Where are you from?.
این گرامر چطور کار میکنه
Past Simple توی گذشته میمونه. تموم شده.Present Simple توی «الان» زندگی میکنه. مربوط به عادتها و واقعیتهاست.Present Perfect یه شورشیه. قبول نمیکنه که توی یه جعبه بمونه. مثل یه تیکه آدامس روی خط زمان کش میاد.How long رو اضافه میکنیم، داریم طول اون آدامس رو اندازه میگیریم. ما اینو بیشتر با فعلهای state (حالت) استفاده میکنیم. اینا فعلهایی مثل be، know، have و like هستن.know). این یه حالته که ادامه داره.Present Perfect بهترین دوستته. به شنونده میگه: «من میدونم این قضیه قبل از الان شروع شده، و فرض میکنم هنوز هم درسته.» این یه راه خیلی مؤدبانه و طبیعی برای پرسوجو درباره زندگی کسیه. اگه از زمان اشتباه استفاده کنی، مثل Present Simple، اینطور به نظر میاد که اون عمل همین الان شروع شده.How long do you know her?انگار داری دقیقاً در مورد همون ثانیهای که همدیگه رو دیدن میپرسی. عجیبه. مثل این میمونه که بپرسی یه ماهی قرمز چقدر میتونه نفسشو حبس کنه.
have یا has به اضافه یه past participle، تو اون پل رو میسازی. نقطهها رو به هم وصل میکنی.GPS زمان در انگلیسیه. بهت میگه از کجا شروع کردی و تایید میکنه که هنوز توی مسیری.
الگوی ساخت
How long.
have یا has. یادت باشه، has فقط برای he، she و it استفاده میشه. بقیه have میگیرن.
you، they، we، I، یا یه اسم خاص مثل Sarah.
past participle فعل اصلیت استفاده کن. برای فعلهای باقاعده، آخرش به -ed ختم میشه. برای بیقاعدهها، خب، فقط باید حفظشون کنی. شرمنده! (تاریخ رو سرزنش کن، نه منو).

کی استفاده کنیم
How long have you lived in London? یه مثال کلاسیکه. یه شروعکننده عالی برای مکالمهست.How long have they been married?. این کلِ بازهی رابطهشون تا همین ثانیه رو پوشش میده.How long have you had those vintage sneakers?.How long has my order been out for delivery?. این عصبانیتت رو نشون میده چون روی مدت زمانِ طولانیِ انتظار تأکید داره. برای شبکههای اجتماعی هم عالیه.How long has this channel existed?. این تلاشهای سخت گذشتهشون رو به موفقیت الانشون وصل میکنه. در کل، اگه چیزی در گذشته شروع شده و هنوز هم امروز وجود داره، How long + Present Perfect راه درستشه.Life Update (آپدیت زندگی) هست.

since به جای for توی جوابه. How long دنبال یه بازه زمانی میگرده. آدما اغلب با استفاده از کلمهی غلط، به یه نقطه زمانی خاص اشاره میکنن.- ✗

has در مقابل have باشه. خیلی آسونه که وقتی تند صحبت میکنی has رو برای he/she/it فراموش کنی. تمرین کن بگی How long has she... تا وقتی که طبیعی به نظر بیاد. اگه بگی How long have she...، یه پری گرامر بالهاشو از دست میده. باشه، واقعاً نه، ولی باعث میشه یه کم شبیه مبتدیها به نظر برسی. در آخر، فعل اصلی رو بیش از حد پیچیده نکن. به همون past participle بچسب. از اضافه کردن -ing به فعلهای حالتی مثل know یا like خودداری کن. How long have you been knowing her? یه اشتباه بزرگه. مثل ریختن آناناس روی پیتزاست—بعضیها انجامش میدن، ولی بیشتریا قبول دارن که جنایته.
