Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use -ել for the infinitive (to do) and -ում for the present continuous or verbal noun (doing).
- Use -ել for dictionary form: 'կարդալ' (to read).
- Use -ում for ongoing action: 'կարդում եմ' (I am reading).
- Use -ում as a noun: 'ընթերցումը' (the reading).

Meanings
These suffixes transform verb roots into either infinitives (the base form) or continuous/nominal forms.
Infinitive (-ել)
The base dictionary form of the verb.

Used for ongoing actions or turning a verb into a noun.
