Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use the suffix '-ast' or '-ast' to describe the highest degree of a quality, like 'fastest' or 'biggest'.
- Add '-ast' to most adjectives: 'snabb' (fast) -> 'snabbast' (fastest).
- If the adjective ends in '-d', add '-ast': 'glad' (happy) -> 'gladast' (happiest).
- Some adjectives are irregular: 'bra' (good) -> 'bäst' (best).
