A.I. - The END of Language Learning?

Lots of people seem to think that I’m not real.  Apparently I’m AI generated! Maybe it’s true!

तुम्हें पता नहीं था कि मैं तुर्की में धाराप्रवाह हूँ, है ना? असल में, मैं नहीं हूँ। वह मैं नहीं था जो तुर्की बोल रहा था। वह AI था। मैं अंग्रेजी बोल रहा था और AI टूल ने उसे तुर्की में अनुवादित कर दिया। इसे फिर से देखते हैं - और मेरे मुंह की हरकतों पर ध्यान देते हैं।

There’s a lot of talk about how artificial  intelligence is going to change the world   in the coming years. A lot of jobs that  people do today will probably disappear,   and a lot of the skills that we  think are important to learn will   probably become irrelevant, because  AI will be better at them than humans.

तुम देख सकते हो कि AI टूल मेरी अपनी आवाज़ में तुर्की अनुवाद तैयार कर रहा है, और यह मेरे मुंह की हरकतों को भी नियंत्रित करता है ताकि ऐसा लगे कि यह सचमुच मैं ही हूँ जो बोल रहा हूँ।

How about the skill of being able  to speak another language? Will it   become irrelevant? In some ways it probably will.

मैं जिस विशिष्ट टूल का उपयोग कर रहा हूँ उसे HeyGen कहा जाता है। यह इस तरह काम करता है कि तुम अपना एक वीडियो अपलोड कर सकते हो और यह उसे दूसरी भाषा में अनुवादित कर देता है।

You didn’t know I was fluent  in Turkish, did you? Actually,   I’m not. That wasn’t me speaking Turkish.  That was AI. I was speaking English and the   AI tool translated it into Turkish. Let’s see that  again - and pay attention to how my mouth moves.

तुम्हें बात समझ आ गई होगी। मुझे यकीन है कि परिणाम एकदम सही नहीं हैं, लेकिन वे काफी अच्छे लगते हैं। अगर तुम तुर्की, चीनी या जर्मन की मूल वक्ता हो, तो तुम्हें अनुवाद कैसा लगता है? क्या यह प्रामाणिक लगता है, या कम से कम काफी अच्छा? हमें नीचे टिप्पणियों में बताएं।

You can see that the AI tool is producing  a Turkish translation in my own voice,   and it even controls the movements of my mouth to  make it look like it’s really me that’s speaking.

तो, यह AI टूल तुम्हारी बोली का रियल टाइम में अनुवाद नहीं करता है - तुम्हें पहले अपना वीडियो रिकॉर्ड करना होगा, फिर उसे अपलोड करना होगा और टूल उसका अनुवाद करेगा। तो यह तब उपयोगी है जब तुम किसी दूसरी भाषा में ऑन-डिमांड वीडियो बनाना चाहती हो,

The specific tool that I’m using is  called HeyGen. The way it works is   that you can upload a video of yourself and  it translates it into a different language.

लेकिन रियल टाइम में बातचीत के लिए उपयोगी नहीं है - अभी तक। भविष्य में मुझे 100% यकीन है कि यह संभव होगा।
