Informal Imperatives (করো - koro)

Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Use the 'koro' form to give commands or suggestions to friends, family, or people younger than you.

  • For most verbs, add '-o' to the root: 'kora' (to do) becomes 'koro' (do!).
  • For negative commands, add 'na' after the verb: 'koro na' (don't do!).
  • Use this only with 'tumi' (informal 'you'); never use it with superiors.
Verb Root + o = Command (e.g., Koro!)
