Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
In Amharic, you attach the object directly to the end of the verb instead of using a separate word.
- Add -w (him/it) to the verb: 'saw him' becomes 'ayew'.
- Add -at (her/it) to the verb: 'saw her' becomes 'ayat'.
- Add -achew (them) to the verb: 'saw them' becomes 'ayachew'.
