Russian words are like Lego bricks: you add prefixes to change meaning and suffixes to change the part of speech.

  • Prefixes usually change the meaning of a verb (e.g., 'идти' to 'прийти').

Overview

As palavras russas são basicamente conjuntos de LEGO. Começas com uma raiz pequena. Depois, encaixas prefixos e sufixos.
De repente, uma palavra torna-se vinte. Este é o segredo para pareceres um nativo. Não precisas de um vocabulário massivo.
Só precisas de saber como construir. Pensa numa raiz como чит (ler). Adiciona про- e é 'terminar de ler'.

How This Grammar Works
