Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

The Dative case (Barys Septik) marks the destination or recipient of an action using suffixes -ға/-ге, -қа/-ке, or -на/-не.

  • Use -ға/-ге after vowels and voiced consonants (e.g., үйге - to the house).
  • Use -қа/-ке after voiceless consonants (e.g., мектепке - to school).
  • Use -на/-не after possessive suffixes (e.g., анасына - to his/her mother).
Noun + [Suffix] = Destination/Recipient
