In Thai, you negate a sentence by placing 'mai' (ไม่) before the verb or adjective.
- Place 'mai' before the verb: 'mai kin' (don't eat).
- Place 'mai' before the adjective: 'mai suay' (not beautiful).
- Thai does not use double negatives; one 'mai' is enough.
