When we talk about something being "gazeux," we're saying it's in a gaseous state. Think of things like air, or the bubbles in soda pop. It's the opposite of solid (solide) or liquid (liquide).
For instance, if you're talking about a fizzy drink, you'd say it's "une boisson gazeuse." Or, if you're discussing the different states of matter in a science class, you'd refer to the gaseous state as "l'état gazeux."
It's a straightforward word that describes something that is literally like gas.
