You conjugated both verbs. In Slovak, only the modal verb is conjugated; the second verb must remain in the infinitive (-ť).

Wrong: Chcem pracujem.
正解: Chcem pracovať. (I want to work.)

The 'oni' form of 'chcieť' is 'chcú'. Many students accidentally add a 'ť' at the end because they confuse it with the infinitive.

Wrong: Oni chcúť.
正解: Oni chcú. (They want.)

Confusing 'môcť' (ability) with 'chcieť' (desire). Use 'chcieť' when you want an object, and 'môcť' only when discussing if something is possible.

Wrong: Môžem kávu.
正解: Chcem kávu. (I want coffee.)
