until (الحد الزمني):until عن استمرارية فعل معين حتى نقطة زمنية محددة ينتهي عندها هذا الفعل. هي تعادل في العربية «حتى» أو «إلى أن».until هي: «الفعل (أ) مستمر ولن يتوقف إلا عند اللحظة التي يقع فيها الحدث (ب)».- مثال:
I will wait for you until the sun sets. - التحليل: فعل «الانتظار» مستمر كعملية زمنية. نقطة النهاية أو «الفرامل» لهذا الفعل هي «غروب الشمس».
- في العربية: «سأنتظرك حتى تغرب الشمس».
until في الإنجليزية بشكل خاطئ. تذكر دائماً:- إذا كنت تستطيع استبدال الكلمة بـ

unlessأوuntilمباشرة، حتى لو كنا نقصد المستقبل.

until بدلاً من unless في السياق الشرطي:- الخطأ:
I won't help you until you tell the truth.(بمعنى: لن أساعدك ما لم تقل الحقيقة). - التصحيح:
