Possessive Pronoun Agreement (Gender, Number, Case)
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
In Croatian, possessives must match the gender and number of the object they describe, not the owner.
- Match the object: 'Moj' (my) becomes 'Moja' for feminine nouns like 'Moja knjiga'.
- Plural matters: 'Moj' becomes 'Moji' for masculine plural nouns like 'Moji prijatelji'.
- Case alignment: Possessives must also change their ending if the noun is in a different case.
