How This Grammar Works

Im Russischen verrät dir das Verb, wer das Subjekt ist, selbst wenn du das Pronomen weglässt. Wenn du die Endung -ешь siehst, weißt du, dass jemand mit einem Freund spricht. Wenn du -ют siehst, ist es eine Gruppe von Menschen.
Deshalb lassen Russen in Textnachrichten oft das Я oder Ты weg – die Endung erledigt die ganze Arbeit. Im Gegensatz zum Deutschen oder Englischen gibt es keine separate Verlaufsform (wie „am Lesen sein“). Я читаю bedeutet sowohl „Ich lese“ (gewohnheitsmäßig) als auch „Ich lese gerade“ (in diesem Moment).
