Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

The Nominative Case is the dictionary form of a noun, used primarily for subjects without any special endings.

  • Use it for the subject of a sentence: 'Kitab masadadır' (The book is on the table).
  • It has no suffix: 'Ev' (house) remains 'Ev'.
  • It is the form you find in the dictionary: 'Dost' (friend).
