Describing Family Relationships
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To show family relationships in Bengali, add the suffix '-র' or '-এর' to the pronoun or name.
- Add '-র' to pronouns ending in a vowel (e.g., 'আমার' - my).
- Add '-এর' to names or nouns ending in a consonant (e.g., 'রহিমের' - Rahim's).
- The possessor always comes before the family member (e.g., 'আমার মা' - my mother).
