Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use -겠- to express your own strong intention or to make an educated guess about a situation.
- Use for personal intent: 'I will do it' (e.g., 내일 가겠어요).

- Attach directly to the verb stem: Verb stem + 겠 + ending.

How This Grammar Works
겠 funciona como una navaja suiza con tres hojas principales. La primera hoja es la Intención. Cuando la usas en primera persona (yo), estás haciendo una promesa o mostrando una voluntad fuerte.좋겠다! (¡Qué bien!), estás usando 겠 para expresar una suposición lógica.¿Sabes?, preguntar 아시겠어요? suena mucho más sofisticado.
Formation Pattern
다. Para 오다 (venir), la raíz es 오.
겠: Simplemente pégalo a la raíz. 오 + 겠 = 오겠.
-(스)ㅂ니다. Resultado: 오겠습니다.
-어요. Resultado: 오겠어요.
-어. Resultado: 오겠어.
Politeness Levels

When To Use It
