In Bulgarian, the definite article is a suffix attached to the end of the noun, not a word placed before it.
- For neuter nouns ending in -о, add -то (e.g., дете -> детето).
- For neuter nouns ending in -е, add -то (e.g., море -> морето).
- The article is always attached directly to the noun without a space.
