Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
In Greek, 'mp', 'nt', and 'gk' are not pronounced as two separate letters, but as single 'b', 'd', and 'g' sounds.
- mp (μ+π) sounds like 'b' as in 'ball' (e.g., μπάλα).
- nt (ν+τ) sounds like 'd' as in 'dog' (e.g., ντομάτα).
- gk (γ+κ) sounds like 'g' as in 'go' (e.g., γκάζι).
