Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'however' as one word for contrast or degree, but use 'how ever' as two words for surprised questions.

however و how ever، گامی مهم برای رسیدن به سطح B1 و فراتر از آن است. در زبان فارسی، ما برای بیان تضاد از کلماتی مثل «اما»، «ولی» یا «با این حال» استفاده میکنیم و برای بیان تعجب در سوالات، از عباراتی مثل «چطور ممکنه» یا «اصلاً چطور» بهره میبریم. ساختار زبان انگلیسی اما در این مورد خاص، تفاوتهای دستوری دقیقی دارد که اگر رعایت نشوند، معنای جمله تغییر میکند.however (به صورت یک کلمه) عمدتاً به عنوان یک قید ربطی برای نشان دادن تضاد یا به عنوان قیدی برای بیان «به هر شکلی» به کار میرود. در مقابل، how ever (به صورت دو کلمه) یک عبارت تأکیدی در سوالات است که نشاندهنده تعجب زیاد یا ناباوری است.how ever بسیار طبیعیتر از یک how ساده است.however به عنوان قید ربطی (Conjunctive Adverb):اما را داریم که یک حرف ربط ساده است. اما however در انگلیسی یک «قید ربطی» است. این یعنی وقتی دو جمله مستقل را به هم وصل میکند، باید با نشانهگذاری دقیق همراه باشد.however بین دو جمله کامل استفاده میکنید، حتماً باید قبل از آن از نقطه (.) یا نقطه-ویرگول (;) استفاده کنید.The project was difficult; however, we finished it on time.
however به معنای «به هر طریقی» (Adverb of Manner):however یک قیدِ درجه یا روش است و جمله را به شکلی متفاوت به کار میبرد.However hard you study, you need rest.
how ever به عنوان عبارت تأکیدی (Emphatic Interrogative):how و ever جدا نوشته میشوند، ever نقش یک تقویتکننده (Intensifier) را دارد. این ساختار برای سوالاتی به کار میرود که در آن گوینده از شدت تعجب یا ناباوری میپرسد «اصلاً چطور ممکن است؟».How ever did you pass the exam without studying?

Meanings
The term 'however' is primarily a conjunctive adverb used to introduce a contrast or a statement that contradicts what was previously said. It can also function as an adverb of degree meaning 'in whatever way'.
