Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'didn't' plus the base verb to say something didn't happen in the past. Never add -ed to the main verb!

did مثل یه آهنربای قوی فکر کن. تو یه جمله مثبت، زمان گذشته داخل فعل اصلی زندگی میکنه (مثلاً walked، ate، saw). ولی به محض اینکه بخوای منفیش کنی، did ظاهر میشه و تمام اون «گذشته بودن» رو از فعل اصلی میکشه بیرون.did زمان گذشته رو گرفت، فعل اصلی برمیگرده به حالت پایهش. واسه همینه که میگیم "I didn't go« بجای »I didn't went". کلمه went قدرتهای گذشتهش رو تسلیم did میکنه.finish -> finished) چه بیقاعده (go -> went)، حالت منفی همیشه از فعل پایه استفاده میکنه. این دیگه تهِ ترفند گرامریه. فقط یادت باشه: did رئیسه، و وقتی رئیس اونجاست، فعل اصلی لازم نیست کار کنه.
