人生経験の現在完了形 (~したことはありますか?)

あなたの「人生の履歴書」だよ。「have/has」と「過去分詞」を使って、これまでの「経験」を話そう!

Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Use the Present Perfect to talk about things you have done at any point in your life without saying exactly when.

  • Use 'have' or 'has' plus the past participle (V3) of the verb: 'I have traveled.'
  • Use 'ever' in questions to ask if an experience happened at least once: 'Have you ever...?'
  • Never use specific time words like 'yesterday' or 'in 2010' with this tense: 'I have seen it' (Correct).
👤 Subject + ➕ have/has + 🛠️ Past Participle (V3)

Overview

(I have been to Paris)って言えば、君は「パリ訪問経験者」が自分のアイデンティティの永久的な一部になったってことを伝えてるんだ。

How This Grammar Works

この文法は橋渡しのように機能するんだ。過去(実際にそのことをした時)に始まって、今この瞬間(君がまだその記憶や経験を持っているから)までずっと続いている。Zoomでの就職面接を想像してみて。面接官が「リモートチームで働いた経験はありますか?」(Have you ever worked with a remote team?)と尋ねる。彼らは君が3月の雨の降る水曜日にそれをしたかなんて気にしない。そのスキルが*今現在*、君の頭の中にあるかどうかを知りたいんだ。君が「はい、3つの異なるタイムゾーンのチームと働いたことがあります」(Yes, I have worked with teams in three different time zones)と答えるとき、君はその橋を使っている。過去の成功を現在の部屋に持ち込んでいるんだ。だからこれをPresent Perfect(現在完了形)と呼ぶんだよ。君の*完了した*(perfected)過去の行動が*現在*(present)どういう状態にあるか、ということだからね。これがeverneverのような言葉を使う理由でもある。everは「君の人生の全歴史の中で、これに『はい』と答えられる瞬間が一度でもあるか?」と尋ねるようなもの。そしてneverはその悲しくて空っぽなバージョン。「経験値ゼロ」ボタンだね。もし僕が「イカゲームを一度も見たことがない」(I have never seen Squid Game)と言ったら、それは僕が生まれてからこの瞬間まで、魂にネットフリックスの形をした穴が空いているってことを伝えているんだ。

Formation Pattern

1
これの作り方は、簡単なレゴセットを組み立てるようなもの。必要なのは3つのパーツだけ:
2
The Subject: I, You, We, They, He, She, or It.
3
The Helper: have または has。これが文のエンジンだ。he/she/itは特別扱いで、いつもhasを取るってことを覚えておこう。それ以外は全部haveだ。
4
The Past Participle: 通常の動詞なら、単にedをつけた形(playedworkedみたいに)。不規則動詞なら、学校で暗記させられたであろう「3番目の列」の単語(gone, seen, eatenのような)だ。

Conjugation Table

Form Example Translation
--- --- ---
Affirmative I have visited Rome. Ich habe Rom besucht. / He visitado Roma.
Negative She hasn't (has not) tried sushi. Sie hat kein Sushi probiert. / Ella no ha probado sushi.
Question Have you ever met a celebrity? Hast du jemals einen Promi getroffen? / ¿Has conocido a algún famoso?
Short Answer Yes, I have. / No, I hasn't. Ja, habe ich. / Nein, habe ich nicht. / Sí. / No.

When To Use It

このパターンは、主に4つの「人生経験」シナリオで使われるよ:
  • General Experiences:
    I have traveled to Japan.
    (私は日本がどんな所か知っている人です)。
  • Accomplishments:
Our team has won the championship!
    (私たちのトロフィーを見て!)。
  • Changes over time:
Your English has improved so much since we last spoke on WhatsApp!
    (最後にWhatsAppで話した時より、君は今、上達している)。
  • Multiple occurrences:
I have seen that Marvel movie five times.

Common Mistakes

  1. 1The Specific Time Trap: これが間違いナンバーワン。「I have seen him yesterday」とは絶対に言わないこと。Yesterday(昨日)は完了した時間だ。もう死んで、消え去ったもの。I saw him yesterdayを使おう。Present Perfectは、ヴァンパイアがニンニクを嫌うように、特定の日付を嫌うんだ。
  2. 2The Been vs. Gone Mix-up: これは定番の間違い。もし友達がロンドンで君の目の前に立っているのに、「I have gone to Italy」と言ったら…その友達は幽霊だ。Goneは、行ってしまってまだ戻ってきていないことを意味する。Beenは、行って、そして今戻ってきた(少なくとも訪れたことがある)ことを意味する。パーティで昔話をするならbeenを使い、誰かが電話に出ない理由を説明するならgoneを使おう。
  3. 3Forgetting the Has: She have beenはマトリックスのバグみたいに聞こえる。三人称単数(He, She, It)には必ずhasを使うこと。hasの's'はSpecial(特別)な人々を表していると考えてみて。
  4. 4Using the wrong verb form: Past Participle(過去分詞)の代わりにPast Simple(過去形)を使ってしまうこと。「I have went」は文法に対する罪だ。「I have gone」でなければならない。これはサンダルに靴下を合わせるようなもので、技術的には可能だけど、みんなに白い目で見られるよ。

Contrast With Similar Patterns

学習者はよくPast SimplePresent Perfectの間で苦労する。ここに黄金ルールがある:それは「完結した物語」か、それとも「人生の勲章」か?

Past Simple:
I ate a burger at 8 PM.
(過去の特定の出来事。バーガーはもうない。その時間も過ぎ去った。物語は終わり)。
Present Perfect: "I have eaten the world's largest burger." (これは今の私の一部。私は肉のチャンピオンだ。特定の時間は必要ない)。

Past Simpleをスマホのギャラリーにある一枚の写真だと考えてみて。Present Perfectは君の「人生のハイライト」リール全体だ。もし君がVlogを撮っていて、「今日は3つのお寺を巡りました」(Today we've explored three different temples)と言うなら、その日はまだ続いているからPresent Perfectを使っている。もし翌日にそのビデオをアップロードするなら、「昨日は3つのお寺を巡りました」(Yesterday we explored three temples)と言うだろう。

Quick FAQ

Q

人生経験について話すときにalreadyyetは使えますか?

もちろんだよ! alreadyは、思ったより早くバケットリストの項目を達成した時に使う("I've already finished the series!

シリーズもう見終わっちゃった!)。yetは、やるつもりだけどまだやっていないことに使う(
I haven't been to New York yet."まだニューヨークには行ってないんだ)。

Q

なぜアメリカ人は時々代わりにPast Simpleを使うのですか?

いいところに気づいたね!アメリカ人はよく

Did you eat yet?
と言うけど、イギリス人はたいてい
Have you eaten yet?
と言うんだ。どちらも通じるけど、B1レベルの試験やフォーマルな文章では、yetalreadyにはPresent Perfectを使うようにしよう。

Q

"I've ever been«と»Have you ever been"のどちらですか?

Everは、ほとんどいつも質問か、hardlyを使った否定文で使われる。通常の文で

I have ever been to Paris
とは言わないだろう。単に
I have been to Paris
と言うだけだ。Everは「これまでのどの時点をとっても?」と尋ねるような感じなんだ。

Q

動詞のPast Participle(過去分詞)が分からなかったらどうすればいいですか?

もしそれが規則動詞なら、edをつけよう。不規則動詞なら、まあ…Googleが君の友達だ。あるいは、別の動詞を使っちゃおう!I have sungの代わりに、

I have performed a song
(歌を披露したことがある)と言える。裏技発動だね。

Real Conversations

Alex: あの新しいVRゲーム、試したことある? (Have you ever tried that new VR game?)

Sam: ううん、まだないよ。面白いの? (No, I haven't. Is it good?)

Alex: 最高だよ!今週毎日やってるんだ。 (It's amazing! I've played it every day this week.)

Sarah: マークはもう空港に行った? (Has Mark gone to the airport yet?)

Tom: うん、もう出たよ。今頃はもう飛行機の中じゃないかな。 (Yeah, he's already left. He's probably on the plane by now.)

よくある間違い

I have see that movie.

You must use the past participle (V3), not the base form.

She have been to Italy.

She has been to Italy.

Use 'has' for he/she/it.

I have go to the park.

I have been to the park.

The past participle of 'go' for experience is usually 'been'.

Have you ever eat sushi?

Have you ever eaten sushi?

Questions still require the past participle.

I have seen him yesterday.

I saw him yesterday.

Do not use Present Perfect with specific past times.

I have ever been to Paris.

I have been to Paris.

Use 'ever' in questions, not in positive statements.

Did you ever been to London?

Have you ever been to London?

Don't mix 'did' (Past Simple) with 'been' (Present Perfect).

He has gone to Japan twice.

He has been to Japan twice.

Use 'been' for completed trips (experience). 'Gone' means he is still there.

I haven't never seen that.

I have never seen that.

Avoid double negatives. 'Never' is already negative.

I've been knowing her for years.

I've known her for years.

Stative verbs like 'know' don't usually take the continuous form.

Never I have seen such a thing.

Never have I seen such a thing.

Negative adverbs at the start of a sentence require inversion.

I have seen him since three days.

I haven't seen him for three days.

Use 'for' for duration and 'since' for a point in time.

It's the first time I'm being here.

It's the first time I've been here.

After 'It's the first time...', use the Present Perfect.

I've seen him last week.

「人生の履歴書」だと思って!

まるで自分の「人生の履歴書」を埋めるみたいに考えてみて。いつ経験したかは関係なく、これまでにどんな経験を積んできたかを伝えるときに、現在完了形を使うんだよ。「I have worked as a teacher for five years.」
⚠️

特定の過去の時間は避けてね

「yesterday(昨日)」や「last year(去年)」、「in 2020(2020年に)」のような、過去の特定の時点を表す言葉とは一緒に使わないでね。そういう時は「Simple Past(単純過去形)」を使うんだ。「I went to Paris last year.」
🎯

過去分詞をマスターしよう

不規則動詞の過去分詞はちょっと難しいよね!よく使う不規則動詞のリストを作って、形を覚えておくと間違いが減るよ。「I have seen that movie.」
🌍

雑談にぴったり!

英語圏では、「Have you ever...?(〜したことある?)」は、相手に失礼なく、気軽に会話を始めるのにすごく便利な表現なんだ。「Have you ever been to Canada?」
💡

「been to」と「gone to」の違い

「have been to」は「行って帰ってきた(今はここにいる)」という意味だよ。例えば「I have been to Paris.」。「have gone to」は「行って、まだそこにいる(今はここにいない)」という意味なんだ。「She has gone to the store.」

Smart Tips

Stop! Switch to the Past Simple immediately.

I have visited Rome in 2015. I visited Rome in 2015.

Always add 'ever' to make it sound like a natural inquiry.

Have you eaten sushi? Have you ever eaten sushi?

Most verbs are regular (-ed). If it's a common verb, check the irregular list.

I have drinked the water. I have drunk the water.

Use 'been to' to show you are back and ready to talk about it.

I have gone to the store. I have been to the store.

発音

/aɪv bɪn/

Contraction Stress

In 'I've been', the 've' is very soft, almost disappearing. The stress is on 'been'.

He's (has) gone vs He's (is) happy.

Has vs Is

The contraction 's' can be 'has' or 'is'. Context tells you: if followed by a V3, it's 'has'.

Question Rise

Have you ever been to Spain? ↗

Standard yes/no question intonation.

チャレンジ

Write down 5 things you have done in your life that you are proud of, using 'I have...'. Then write 3 things you have never done but want to do.

文化メモ

Americans often use the Past Simple with 'just', 'already', and 'yet', whereas British speakers strictly use Present Perfect.

British speakers use 'been' and 'gone' very distinctly to indicate if a person has returned or not.

Similar to British English, but often uses contractions more aggressively in casual speech.

The Present Perfect developed in Germanic languages as a way to express the 'result' of an action that the subject 'possesses.'

会話のきっかけ

Have you ever traveled to a different continent?

What is the strangest food you have ever eaten?

Have you ever met someone famous?

Have you ever had to speak English in a difficult situation?

日記のテーマ

Write about three major life achievements you have accomplished so far.
Describe a place you have visited that changed your perspective on the world.

No, `ever` is used for questions. In a positive sentence, just say `I have been to Spain.`

Use `has` for `he`, `she`, and `it`. Use `have` for all other subjects.

Yes, `I've` is the contraction. It is very common in spoken English.

It is the 'third form' of a verb (e.g., eat -> ate -> `eaten`).

No, that's a double negative. Say `I have never eaten` or `I haven't eaten`.

`Been to` means you went and came back. It's the standard way to talk about travel experience.

Put `Have` or `Has` at the beginning: `Have you ever...?`
