Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'Verb + ပေးပါ' (pe-ba) to make polite requests in Burmese.
- Add 'ပေးပါ' after the main verb: 'စားပါ' (eat) -> 'စားပေးပါ' (please eat).
- For negative requests, use 'မ...နဲ့' before 'ပေးပါ': 'မလုပ်ပေးပါနဲ့' (please don't do it).
- The 'ပါ' suffix adds the politeness level required for strangers or elders.
